In the Guisane valley, the Serre Chevalier bike park offers a network of lift-served trails, ranging from a family-friendly introduction to technical descents in the Hautes-Alpes.
A trail network to progress through
The bike park spans over 450 m of elevation from the gondola-served summit down to Chantemerle, with a network of green, blue and red trails allowing riders to progress at their own pace, run after run.
An alpine valley turned toward mountain biking
Serre Chevalier, a resort historically built around skiing, has gradually equipped itself for downhill and enduro mountain biking in summer, benefiting from its proximity to Briançon and its varied mountain terrain of forest and alpine pasture.
How to approach the session
A day pass allows riders to string together multiple descents without any climbing effort, starting on the green and blue trails before moving to the red runs as confidence builds.
When to go
June to September, the summer opening period for the gondola and the bike park’s trails in the Guisane valley.
Good to know
The proximity of Briançon, a fortified UNESCO World Heritage town, makes it easy to combine an MTB session with a visit to the Vauban citadel at the end of the day.
